As of today I only have 3 full sessions left for 2011 (one in September and 2 in December) so I am opening up mini sessions in October to meet the extra demand. These are also the only discounted sessions I will be offering in 2011 so take advantage while you can:)

Fall Mini Session Details:

I will have 5-10 spots available

Date: 10/15 and/or 10/22 depending on weather

Times: Between 8am and 11am and then again between 3pm and 5pm

Cost: $300 (value of session and product is over $1000)

Sessions will be 30 minutes long and will include 15-25 edited photographs. You will recieve all high resolution images on disk and your 5 favorite images as an 8x10 or 5x7 print. You will have the option to buy additional prints/products/packages at a 10% discount off of the standard rate. These images can also be used to create your family's Christmas cards.

Kristina is the founder of Marilyn's Voice which works to save puppies from the puppy mill industry and if her passion for this cause is any indication of her mothering abilities, I can say that this little guy in her belly will be one very lucky baby. To say that I am happy for Christen and her loving husband is a huge understatement. Christen and I have been in each other's lives for about 15 years and for most of those we have been as close as sisters. When she told me she was pregnant I can honestly say I was just as excited as when I found out I was having a baby. I can't wait to see what this new little person is going to be and I can't wait to watch Christen become a mother. She is 39 weeks in these pictures and STILL looks so absolutely incredible. As my quote below says, this by far will be the grandest adventure of your life. I am so happy to be on the journey with you, my friend.

Sweet Anabelle is One {Northeast Ohio Cleveland Newborn, Maternity, Baby, Child Photography}

I met Anabelle when she was just shy of 6 months old and I have been lucky enough to photograph her 2 additional times since then. Like most 12 month olds she wasn't loving the idea of sitting still for pictures, but being that we were in such a beautiful setting (the bridal boutique, Something White) with so much to explore we were able to get some really precious pictures of Mommy and Daddy's first little girl. I knew this would be a great location to photograph her at because she loves her frills and bows and what is more frilly than a store full of gorgeous gowns and beautiful baubles. Thank you again to the gals at Something White for allowing me to turn your boutique into a gorgeous backdrop. I look forward to many future sessions there:)

A Christmas Surprise Session { Cleveland Newborn, Family, Children Photographer}

Valentine's Day Mini Session

I'm thinking of doing a V-day mini session to break up the long cold winter:) It would be mid to late January and would be for a 20-30 minute session and would include an online gallery of 5-10 images, and either 3 mini accordion albums (similar to the example below) OR 24 press printed cards (like the 2 images beneath the mini albums) and a disk of the low resolution images for printing image up to 4x6. There would be an option to buy additional prints, items and digital images for 25% off the current rate. The cost would be $125.00 for the session and mini albums OR cards with an option to upgrade to the folded cards (last picture below) for an additional 25.00. Oh Happy Day!- {Cleveland Newborn Baby Child Senior Photographer}

A few days ago I got not 1 but 2 packages in the mail that made ma absolutely giddy. One was my brand new pined after lens, the canon 50mm 1.2L (LOVE IT) and the other was my sample albums for next year. Oh My Goodness they are incredible. I tried out Kiss albums because they are top of the line and one of the few companies I could find that do all of their pages on true photographic paper, instead of being press printed. the downside to press printed is that many time you lose a lot of the clarity and details in the press paper. I also wanted to go with screened pages rather than drop in albums because you will never lose or misplace or end up with a crooked print. These images are here for life and even after being man handled my my 3 year old I just took a dry cloth and wiped his little fingerprints right off. I also love this company because of the simplicity. They have 2 different styles, leather or linen, and seven color choices.

I will preface these photos by saying that I am not a product photographer and if you want to truly appreciate the magnificence of these you have to hold one in your own hands-so stop over and I will be happy to share:)

I ordered 3 different colors and 1 linen and 2 leathers. They all come in their own cloth bags.

4 inch mini album on top, 8 inch in the middle and 10 inch on the bottom.

The 10 inch linen set up as a session album with one image per page, in navy blue.

My mini using the exact same layout as my leather album, just in a smaller size:)

The layout of these is a custom designed "coffee table album" aka multiple photos per spread.

The pages on the leather album are super thick and the album is actually quite heavy.

All of the albums, whether leather or linen, are lay flat pages so you can do full spreads to cover both pages.

My final verdict is I love them and I know you will too:)

I owe this gorgeous woman and her just as gorgeous baby a lot of credit for getting my little business off of the ground. She has gotten more word out about me than I have and she always puts a smile on my face by giving me the best compliments on my pics:) I got lucky enough to photograph the whole family this time and let me tell you it was AWESOME! They are so good looking and little Jack is my angel. He woke up from his nap in the car and leaned right into my arms for a hug. I LOVE him! But you will feel the same way too after you check out his baby blues:) Alana-all I can say is you rock and your little rockstar has the key to my heart.

Maternity Pictures and why I love them...

Though I personally have never had pictures taken while I was pregnant I absolutely LOVE capturing the joy and excitement that ever pregnant woman experiences in their pregnancy (at least after the morning sickness). I swear the sheer happiness is catchy:) Thank you to Kari and Ken for sharing this beautiful moment in time with me.

It is so hard to ask someone to look at a bunch of pictures and decide how they would like to hang them up on their walls. I look at pictures every day and I struggle a lot with how to group things and what sizes to recommend for portraits. At least I did. I just got the most AMAZING product that will allow me to SHOW each client how their pictures would look in a specific room . They will see which size will look best, which pictures complement each other and whether color, black and white or a mix of the two will look best. I have been playing with these all night and these are just a few of my favorites that I have come up with for recent sessions. I plan on using this for every session now and I have to assume that everyone will love seeing the potential of their portraits as much as I do:)

And I couldn't help coming up with a few display ideas for myself:)

During the big sale my lab had a few weeks ago I decided to indulge a bit myself just to see the range of products (and to feather my nest of course) and the only thing I can say is WOW. I don't think my pictures do them justice but here are just a few things I wanted to share.

The shadow mounts (shown above and below) are incredible. So elegant and classic while being uncluttered and versatile enough for any room. I put them on top of my mantle (obviously not hanging properly) but just so I could get an idea of where I will want to put them. LOVE!!

(2 10x20's hanging vertically and a 16x20 in the middle all with the linen texture)

I also got 3 softwraps on metallic paper with the glossy finish. 3 12x12s. my only regret is that I wish I had gone bigger.

And here is one from one of my clients just to show what a collage looks like on it (standard paper with a matte finish 12x12)

What can I say other than "Love!". I'd be happy to show them off in person if you would want to see for yourself :) While I think canvas will always be the gold standard I think these 2 items are a more economical way to show off your prints with minimalistic elegance and without adding a frame.

After hemming and hawing for hours over which prints to choose I am so pleased with the results. They just tie a whole room together. Now I need to figure out something for the hallways:)

Though I did use most of their pictures in the slideshow I just had to share what a great family these 3 are. Baby Gavin may very well be the best behaved 6 month old I have ever met. We were shooting in close to 100 degrees and this little guy never made a peep. He just stared at what everyone was doing as if analyzing in his little head everything that was happening. I have a feeling he is going to be a little smarty pants. Mom and Dad were great sports while I sweat all over them trying to assist in posing and what not. I was thrilled with the results and I can't wait to photograph them again someday:)

These guys were absolutely wonderful to work with. Easy going, up for anything, and raring to go at 8AM. Even though it was hot (too hot for 8 in the morning) the kids were angelic and made my job so easy by laughing at my lame jokes, letting me carry them around and tip toeing over the bunny mess in the yard. Those darn bunnies! Mom and Dad-you guys were awesome too:) Besides having all sorts of patience as I had you smile into the direct sun you helped me come up with a new setting for pictures! Commercial Portraits for Two Lovely Ladies

Becky and Karin asked me to take some portraits of them for their business website (which will be up and running shortly-for now you can catch them in action here) and I happily obliged. They were so great to work with (especially since they tag teamed watching my boys while I photographed them) and at the end of the day they brought me a chocolate chip muffin:) The day was perfect for pictures so I was really happy with what we ended up with . Can't wait to go and visit their shop!!

Could he be any more handsome than in this vintage sailor outfit? That little outfit is an actual antique that was lent by a family friend. Considering the fact that he LOVES flags, it worked out quite appropriately:) Thank you for being the best little 3 year old model ever for your first mini photo shoot:)

Baby Sammy

Sammy was my youngest little one to photograph yet and while it definitely had its challenges, there is nothing more special than getting to hold such a tiny little one and watching the interactions between Mommy and baby. He is Erin and Sal's first born and is an absolute doll. It brings back so many sweet memories of my little guys. Thank you Erin for sharing your precious bundle with me:)

Alana and Jack

This little Jack is about 3 months younger than my Jack, and he is just about the sweetest and cutest little guy ever (my Jack excluded:)). He is so beautiful (just like his Mother) and I STRUGGLED to narrow down some of my favorites. I started out with over 300 shots and narrowed it down to 68 to edit. Then I had to narrow it down further so the picture collages wouldn't be too condensed. Here are just a smattering of my favorite pictures of them and I will add the slide-show of all 68 of the edited ones. Thank you, Alana, for sharing your beautiful little angel with me and for putting up with my almost 3 year old trying to man-handle the Elmo toy:) I hope you like what we ended up with. You guys were amazing!

Mother's Day Gift idea

Here is just an idea of r a budget friendly, personalized Mother's Day gift using your favorite pictures. I just got some water spray bottles and printed out 2 portrait size pictures (personalized with each of their names) and taped them around the water bottle. Then I filled it up with Mrs. Meyer's all purpose cleaner and water to make a counter top/anywhere cleaning spray. I finished it off by giving all the Mom's their own all purpose cleaning concentrate to refill their "special" cleaning bottles when they get empty. Here's to a happier way for Mom's to clean up:)

Karin asked me to take some pictures for the store's website and I happily obliged so I could practice photographing inanimate objects. It was pretty windy though, so they were just about as animated as most children:) Hope you girls like them!

Kim let me take pictures of her beautiful children and let me just say there is nothing more fun than photographing a red head with blue eyes. Grace's colors just popped and I loved how the pictures came out. Getting a newborn in a good position was a little more challenging, but luckily he is such a good little guy with a happy demeanor. I have the fewest pictures of Brady, because an almost 4 year old boy rarely wants to sit still:) But I still loved his beautiful hair and eyes. Thank you Kim for letting me chase your kids around the house/yard instead of chatting with you over coffee:)
